Saugus Real Estate

Saugus Real Estate is the focus of this page. More specifically, we own a house in Saugus and we're looking to upgrade. In order to upgrade to a better home, we'll need to sell our own house. We don't want the pressure to find a new house to be overwhelming, so we've been reluctant to put our house on the market. If we find a house we love, ours will go right on the market. Recent changes in the New England Real Estate market have made selling a home more difficult and prices seem to be coming down.

I'm Jim Harrington. My wife and I own a 3 bedroom home here in Saugus.

First, I'll outline some of the features we're looking for in the real estate we'd like to buy. We prefer Saugus but will consider other nearby towns.

  • 3 bedroom minimum
  • 1 and 1/2 or 2 bathrooms would be nice
  • Real Estate on steep hills or busy streets will NOT be considered
  • A quiet site street is a BIG plus (no busy streets, as noted above!)
  • Garage? another big plus!
  • In a flood zone?...dont want it.
  • Maintanance free exterior... please
  • Large, bright, updated kitchen
  • Level lot
  • 1600 sq feet of living space, or more, would be great
  • Baseboard heat by oil
  • If in Saugus, East of route 1 is prefered
  • While we're at it, the Iron Works area is prefered
  • Price must be less than $459,000

  • 6 rooms total, plus large foyer and space for small office on second floor hallway
  • 2 car garage with finished room in one bay (lots of storage space)
  • Off street parking for 5 cars!
  • Bright, eat-in kitchen with cherry cabinets
  • Huge deck (about 16x14) with large storage area underneath
  • Level, fenced in yard
  • Dry basement with lots of storage space
  • Heat by oil
  • Blow-in insulation in exterior walls
  • 6000 sq ft lot
