Nonprofit Workshop: Mission, Vision and Planning

Participants will be able to: * Understand the relationship of mission and vision to key functions like program planning and development, fundraising, and other processes of an organization * Distinguish between mission and vision and their relationship to each other * Define the key elements of creating a strong mission and vision statement, and understand the relationship between mission, vision and their importance to organizational effectiveness * Identify practices that support maintaining a mission and values-focused organization * Learn about different types of planning, when to use what type and typical steps or paths to various types of planning
