The Saugus Coalition Against Domestic Violence, The Friends of Breakheart Reservation and the Department of Conservation and Recreation are sponsoring their third annual Awareness Walk to bring attention to the ongoing problem of domestic abuse in our community. The Walk will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2006 from 10 a.m. to noon at Breakheart Reservation in Saugus. Local residents are being asked to join in a brief two-mile walk through the beautiful grounds of the Reservation. Food will be available. There will be music, informational tables, a water stop, raffle prizes, and t-shirts for the first 100 participants who register. The donation is $7.00 per person or $10.00 per family. Registration forms are available through the Saugus School Department, the Saugus Police Department, the Cliftondale Congregational Church, the Blessed Sacrament Church, Saugus Town Hall, the Saugus Library, as well as at Breakheart Reservation. Families are welcome.
