DCR Breakheart Reservation, Christopher Dunne Visitor Center, Saugus
Marianne Moore, a graduate student in bat ecology at Boston University, will give a one hour introduction to bat biology, conservation issues of bats, and information on attracting bats with a bat house. We will then go outside to observe or net bats ? weather permitting. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Join DCR Park Ranger Matthew Nash to learn about the amazing lives of bats in Massachusetts and the problems facing them. Learning will be achieved using active games, skits and hands on activities. Come learn how a bat is different from a bird, how they find their food using echolocation, how bats are helpful to us, why bats need our help, and ways that we can help bats. No live or mounted animals will be used in this program. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
