Goes Bats With A Beautiful Bat Weekend

Beautiful Bats Suitable for adults and children ages 8 and older. Friday, June 9th 7:30 ? 10:00 pm* DCR Breakheart Reservation, Christopher Dunne Visitor Center, Saugus Marianne Moore, a graduate student in bat ecology at Boston University, will give a one hour introduction to bat biology, conservation issues of bats, and information on attracting bats with a bat house. We will then go outside to observe or net bats ? weather permitting. All children must be accompanied by an adult. *Advance registration required. Learning will be achieved using active games, skits and hands on activities. Come learn how a bat is different from a bird, how they find their food using echolocation, how bats are helpful to us, why bats need our help, and ways that we can help bats.
