Migrant Madness

The Breakheart bird list currently stands at142 species, ranging from hawks to hummingbirds. In May at the peak of the migration season many of these birds arrive at the park to breed or to rest before continuing north. Join David Brown, a professional naturalist with a lifelong attachment to Breakheart, on a two hour search for migratory birds in the park. At the visitor center we will view his videotape of all the colorful warblers that can be seen here during the spring. Wear shoes comfortable for walking paths. About two miles will be covered at a slow pace. Bring water as well as binoculars and field guides if you have them.
