Mysterious Shadow

I jumped out of bed and looked around. There had been a loud crash in the basement, so I was going to see what had happened. I flew down the stairs, and when I got to the bottom I paused. No one was there.
As I walked around for a few minutes, I noticed that my dog's cage had been flipped on its side. That could explain why she was barking as if she'd seen a ghost.
"Lisa!" I yelled. My sister always hated our dog Skippy, and she loves to scare me. Furiously I ran up the stairs and stomped into Lisa's room. I walked into her room and almost screamed at what I saw.
There was a figure darker than the night sky staring at me. I slowly turned around and walked out the door. Then I darted toward my room. As I ran up the flight of stairs, I thought to myself, "Don't look back... don't look back." Even though I didn't want to, I looked back.
It was chasing me! "Get away from me!" I screamed as I ran down the hallway to my room. The object brushed against my shoulder, and my heart was pounding so hard that it echoed through the hallway.
At last, I ran into my room and slammed the door. "So you're the one that flipped over my dog's cage," I yelled. The strange, shadowy figure only grunted.
"Ahhgg! Gerrrrrr," it hissed. I started to cry. When I was in my room, my sister wasn't there.
"What did you do with my sister!" I sobbed.
"I didn't do anything with myself," I heard from behind me. It was Lisa! "Something kept banging on my window."
"It's really quiet. Let's go out into the hall and see if the ghost is still there," I explained. Lisa and I slowly opened the door, but the shadow ghost was gone.
"Oh well, I guess it's gone. Let's get breakfast, Jenny," replied Lisa.
Little did Lisa and Jenny know that the shadow ghost was still lurking around.
