Saugus Youth Soccer is having a registration night for the Spring soccer season on Monday, March 1, from 5PM to 8PM at Dick's Sporting Goods, at the Square One Mall, Saugus, MA. Come register for all intown teams and select travel team spots.

Everyone is welcome to come to St. Margaret Church's annual Penny Sale. This is a fundraiser for St. Margaret. For a dollar a ticket, you can win 100 prizes.

Please join the Saugus River Watershed Council and Bob Metcalfe of New England Discovery for a leisurely walk in search of wildlife tracks and signs at Breakeart Reservation in Saugus. Following the walk, participants will enjoy hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows by a campfire. Dress appropriately for ice or snowy conditions. In case of inclement weather, an alternative program will be hosted inside the Visitor's Center. Please RSVP by contacting srw@shore.net or 781-233-5046. Saugus Garden Club Ushers in Spring with Annual Flower Show Saugus Garden Club will hold its annual Flower Show on Saturday, March 20,the first day of Spring, at the Saugus Senior Center at 466 Central Street, Saugus. This show has been one of the social events of the season for several years, and is not to be missed. The theme of the show is "Saugus-Someplace Special" and will include in its Design Division: Saugus Landmarks: Saugus Center-Art in Bloom, an arrangement inspired by work of art, Route 1-Past & Present, exhibitor's choice. Kowloon, arrangement depicting Asian design, Prince Pizzeria, design depicting pizza, Saugus Senior Center, functional table for two,and Saugus Public Library, an arrangement featuring books or book-like containers. Horticulture Division: Saugus Scenes, will be comprised of Iron Works, herbs grown from seed, Historical Society, a plant over 10 years old, Breakheart Reservation, a dish garden, Hilltop, cactus, succulents or non-flowering plants, Main Street, African Violets and flowering plants, and Cliftondale Square, exhibitor's choice. Division Three: Special Exhibit, will explain the Blue Star Memorial Program. Exhibitors are expected to bring their designs to the Senior Center either on Saturday, March 19, from 2:30 - 5:00 pm, or Saturday, March 20, from 8:00 - 9:00 am. Judging will occur Saturday at 10:00 - 12:00 noon. The show will be open to the public from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Light refreshments will be served. Small plants will be available for sale. Saugus Youth Soccer is having a registration time for its Spring soccer season on Saturday, March 27, from 11AM to 2PM, at the Saugus Youth and Recreation Center, 400 Central Street, Saugus. Registrations are available for all Spring season intown soccer teams and some travel soccer teams.

Saugus Democratic Town Committee Meetings are held monthly on the last Sunday of the Month at 7:00 pm in the Doc Dumas Social Center at Laurel Gardens. Next meeting will be held on Sunday March 28, 2010. Light refreshments are served. Visitors are always welcome. Our main fundraising focus is the Saugus Democratic Education Fund which gives scholarships to Saugus students. Dues are $20.00 per year as of 2010.
