While (as we mentioned earlier) all the hardware and software upgrades we've been working on have been completed, we do plan to perform some minor tweaks and optimizations this weekend. There won't be any downtime and things should remain fairly stable.

The Saugonian's Home Pages page was updated today.

The hardware upgrades we mentioned yesterday have all completed successfully. We'll provide further details on the Saugus.net announcements forum.

The major upgrades we started back on the 13^th are still happening, and today we reached a major milestone with the addition of a new Saugus.net server. Of course whenever you're moving around literally hundreds of thousands of items there are lots of things that can go wrong, and things may be a little strange for a short time. If you've been seeing database errors or saw an old version of Saugus.net earlier today, don't worry; such effects are transient and should all be cleared up for everyone by tomorrow. We'll post updates here and/or on the relevant forums.

For the second time in less than a week, the Saugus Area Non-Profit Organizations page was updated.

Newton's Library was updated today. Don't forget too that if you're using the Newton Book Reader extension for Firefox you'll be able to freely download and read its "book of the month" every month even though we typically don't specifically announce it here.

Saugus.org was updated today.

The Saugus Area Organizations, Clubs, and Places of Worship page was updated today.

The Friends of Breakheart Reservation site was updated today.

This is just a reminder that although we don't often mention it here, the Guestbook and chat forum (not to mention all the other Saugus forums, too) get frequently updated.

The News Sources page was updated today.

The Tips for New Computer Users & New Internet Surfers page was updated today.

The Guide to Free Software was updated today.

We've added more information to the Saugus forums help page today.

We've started working on some significant hardware and software upgrades for Saugus.net. We expect to be continuing to work on them throughout much of this week. Things may get a little slow and/or strange at times, but we don't expect any downtime.

We've received quite a few unsolicited résumés in the past couple of weeks, so we wanted to remind everyone that we're not currently hiring, but that when we are we'll post all the details on both our careers page and the Saugus jobs forum.

The Saugus Area Medical, Dental, & Pharmaceutical Resources and Information page was updated today.

The Saugus Post Cards Online section had a new post card added today. As usual, the new entry was added to the final page of cards.

There's a new version of the Newton book reader extension for Firefox available now on Newton's Library. This version provides support for features like tables of contents and internal document links.

The Friends of Breakheart Reservation site was updated today.
