We've gotten confirmation that the first large shipment of the new Saugus book, Of Time and the River: Saugus 1900-2005, will arrive as scheduled tomorrow. It'll be available at several upcoming local events.

An advance copy of the new Saugus book, Of Time and the River: Saugus 1900-2005, has arrived (discuss it on the Saugus talk forum) and the first large shipment is due in as early as the end of this week.

We got word from the printers that the new Saugus book, Of Time and the River: Saugus 1900-2005, is now in the assembly phase. As always, you can discuss the book (or basically anything related to Saugus at all) in the Saugus talk forum.

As often seems to happen, edits in an area seem to encourage further edits in that same area. The Places To Go Near Saugus page was updated again today.

Please note that the annual Saugus Prankers Pond Day that had originally been scheduled for today has been rescheduled to its rain date next weekend on account of the heavy rains last night and this morning.

We got word from the printers that as of yesterday, the final pages of the new Saugus book, Of Time and the River: Saugus 1900-2005, are "at press". The printing phase should be finished soon, and it'll then be assembled and bound. It is still on schedule for Founders' Day. Remember, if you have any questions or comments about the book, you can discuss it in the Saugus talk forum.

We'd just like to let readers using MS-Windows know that the Department of Homeland Security is strongly recommending that you apply all Microsoft security patches. An unprotected computer can be used for many diverse nefarious purposes, and this isn't the first time that Homeland Security has made such a request. Regular Saugus.net readers may also remember last year when Homeland Security advised that Internet Explorer users upgrade to a more secure browser like Firefox (if you have not yet upgraded, you still can do so conveniently via the button on the bottom of the sidebar to the left).

The new Saugus book, Of Time and the River: Saugus 1900-2005, is now back in the hands of the print shop after its final proofing. We'll post bit more information about it as it becomes available.

The Newton's Library site got a few new titles added to it over the weekend.

Of Time and the River: Saugus 1900-2005, the sequel to a A Gathering of Memories: Saugus 1900-2000 has been proofed. It'll get a few minor corrections made to it over the weekend and will go in for final printing on Monday. There is now also a bit more information on it available online (including a picture of its cover).
